Why Sonoma

Wine country magic

Some of you may be thinking, why Sonoma? Well, Max traveled to Sonoma every year when he was younger to visit his aunt. They took family trips up the mountain, fed ducks in the plaza, swam, and enjoyed the long sunny afternoons in wine country.

For his 30th birthday, Alana surprised Max with a trip to Mexico City — he didn't find out the destination until he arrived at the gate. With her 30th coming up, Max wanted to return the favor. Then a better idea came to fruition. Why not turn that 30th birthday trip into an elopement instead? After all, what could be better than getting married in wine country with our closest family and friends?

We love traveling. One of our favorite trips was our first international trip as a couple — to the magical land of Italy! We ate endless amounts of gelato, had way too much wine, and ate pizza daily. Italy was nothing short of magical.

During our time there, we had an extraordinary day trip to a variety of vineyards in Tuscany. There was something truly breathtaking about the rolling green pastures, cloudless blue sky, and endless glasses of wine and cheese that filled our bellies and our souls. We wanted to experience those same feelings of peace, serenity, and relaxation on our wedding day.

We can't think of a better way of showing our guests how much we love them, than by treating them to a Sonoma weekend filled with wood-fired pizza, a secret garden, a delicious dinner in a wine cellar, and a post-wedding celebration surrounded by rolling green vineyards, and endless glasses of wine.
